THE CROSS
When you set your intention and lift up your efforts as an instrument for God’s work the reward is the nature inherited by working while in the God zone. Mostly what happens is in the surreal realm… Because it is when you allow your work to be projected that the anointing of the work is parceled to strike a chord in somebody that you as the artist are totally oblivious to whom and to when the power will be revealed. These three pieces were done as a devotion during the four weeks of Lent. God always works from the periphery, it is in the margins where all the important information is revealed… God always calls out the least to carry the torch… Once we become big Deal Christians the devil got a stronghold on you and Jesus knew that temptation well. During this lenten Journey, I studied C.S Lewis”s “Screwtape letters” to gain insight and to alert me to the subtle workings of The prince of the world. When the word of God is lived out you become adopted and grafted into the true vine. This train of thought does not make sense to those outside of the world…Christ was viewed by God as the Word made flesh. We the believers are called into a similar task as King David cries out, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”The greatest gift that Christ leaves with us is discernment through the Holy Spirit, most of what the utterance of the Spirit reveals are those masking God but steeped in self – Aggrandizement.. Jesus’ disciples understood full well that to carry forward the master’s work you must be willing to leave all things behind, the cares of the world, ancestral worship, and above all pride. We are in the most crucial of times… And this is not business as usual, these times call for some anointed soldiers for God… The prince of the world is a discourager… the world and even those akin as friends are watered down and living in abject indifference… waiting for the tide to roll in… and life to become normal… We are lacking spiritual ingenuity and are saturated in “polar- opinionating” or fence-sitting or worst delusion. It’s time to roll out as my marathon partner would say … Its time to pick up the pace and see who can hang, those that are not conditioned well will fall back and even drop out… When Christ speaks about baptizing with fire he is not joking… when you come out of the fire you will not be burnt but empowered and magnified as one of the chosen. When the Holy Spirit Baptism is realized you then are God’s ordained which can not be learned at any theology institution… real-life baby … God wise, street ministers… Like the poised and postured anointed one, Jesus… leader, redeemer, King! Freedom fighter par excellence.
